so here's the deal...

Ok, so the first post always seems to be some type of cheesy introduction to the person writing the blog. Now, I thought "hmm, I'm too cool for that. I'll just dive right in to some inspiring topic." But really, I think its the journey that I have been on that makes the future so exciting, so mysterious, so fun!

Nitty-gritty- I am a 22 year old explorer who just graduated from College in Memphis, TN. I was a Religious Studies major and a Gender and Sexuality Studies minor and eventually I want to go to Seminary. I am now living and working at a Hostel in Memphis and nannying for two precious families. I have never stayed in one spot for too long- I tend to get anxious- and I would love to be able to just roam around the world for a little while, maybe forever.

Alright, now that all of that introduction nonsense is out of the way, I can get down to the real purpose of my writing. Will the blog be funny, hopefully. Insightful, if I'm lucky. Truthful, most definitely. Really, like most recent college graduates, I am just longing for an adventure before my "real life" begins. For me, the adventure is not solely about the destination; no, the adventure is about the journey,  the steps and missteps it takes to figure things out. I want to chronicle that adventure because so much of what you learn, how you grow, is found in those small steps on the path to somewhere new.  Even though I am not actually going anywhere, I am certainly on a pilgrimage somewhere!

Maybe you're a few steps ahead of me, maybe you're a few steps behind me or maybe we are walking together- doesn't really matter. Just put on your travelin' shoes and lets go!
